Watch: Broda Shaggi playfully grabs Boniface in a hilarious moment at Troost-Ekong’s charity match

Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong had his annual charity fundraiser game at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday, and it was a star-studded lineup, Soccernet.ng reports.

Some of Nigeria’s A-list celebrities turned up at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena to show support - some to play, and others to cheer.

It had like entertainers Zlatan Ibile, Odumodublvck, DJ Neptune, Mayorkun, Broda Shaggi, Ebuka, and AY Comedian.

The Nigerian football fraternity was well represented, with past stars like Obafemi Martins, Elderson Echiejile, Joseph Yobo, and Brown Ideye present. Even former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder Alex Song was there.

The current Super Eagles stars made themselves available for the game, with Boniface, Frank Onyeka, Arokodare playing.

The teams were divided into Team Eguavoen and Team Ijabal, as the celebrities and professionals were spread evenly across the two teams.

It was a charity game. And as expected there were a lot of funny moments. But one that really caught the eye was when popular skit-maker Broda Shaggi fouled Boniface and conceded a freekick.

Immediately the referee whistled to signal the infraction, Broda Shaggi knelt down and started pleading his case. But the referee showed him a yellow card. Then, when the official was not looking, Broda Shaggi went to Boniface, who was on the turf, and playfully choked him.

Boniface is a known for his social media jokes. So he has a good relationship with many Nigerian skit-makers and social media influencers.
