Nota apologises to the white community for his remarks

Nota apologises for racist comment made

Controversial business executive Nota Baloyi has issued an apology to those offended by his comments made earlier this year.

During an episode of The Hustlers Corner SA podcast on YouTube in February, Nota referred to white people as “Neanderthals” and claimed they were inferior to black people.

He said, “White people are an inferior species to us. They have Neanderthal blood in them… We are dealing with the weakest whites… White people are just below human beings.”

The remarks caused an uproar, leading to the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) taking legal action against him.

The commission demanded an apology, which Nota recorded and shared via social media.

In his apology, Nota acknowledged the harm his words caused, stating, “I now understand the importance of fostering a culture of respect, and I am committed to working on myself.”

He admitted that his comments were hurtful and expressed regret.

He promised to be more mindful of his words in the future, ensuring that such remarks would not be repeated.
