Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of its new Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central, a 300-room hotel that brings contemporary comfort to one of Sweden’s famous cities. Located atop the Gothenburg Central Station, this new addition to Hyatt’s portfolio is an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

prime location

Situated in the heart of Gothenburg, Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central provides guests with easy access to a wide range of attractions and cultural landmarks. The hotel is within walking distance of popular destinations such as Liseberg Amusement Park, the scenic Gothenburg Archipelago, and Ullevi Stadium, one of Scandinavia’s most famous sports venues. Guests can also explore the city’s restaurant scene, canals and parks, all within close reach.

Design with a touch of nature

The hotel, built on top of Gothenburg’s Central Station, has recently undergone a year-long refurbishment to align with the Hyatt Place brand’s aesthetic. The interiors reflect the city’s natural beauty, with design elements inspired by Gothenburg’s green spaces and coastal landscapes.

As Gothenburg continues to emerge as a hub for both business and leisure travel, we are excited to add to this momentum by welcoming Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central to the city. With a prime location, modern designed spaces and thoughtfully sourced dining options, we look forward to introducing guests to all that the hotel has to offer.” – Michel Morauw, Managing Director North EAME

Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central offers 300 guestrooms, including five suites, all equipped. Guests can also take advantage of the hotel’s fitness center, flexible meeting spaces, and a 968-square-foot event room that can host up to 100 people.

“We are excited to introduce Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central to the city. Hyatt brings a world-class hotel experience and an extensive distribution network, and together we have developed a great new hotel and dining concept. We will now offer the best guest experiences from the city’s best location.” – Anders Moe, CEO, Flying Elephant and hotel operator, Gest Hotels

The hotel also features Blanche Brasserie & Bar, a contemporary bistro offering an all-day menu and a curated beverage selection. Inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, the restaurant provides a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Expanding Hyatt’s presence in Scandinavia

The opening of Hyatt Place Gothenburg Central is part of Hyatt’s ongoing strategy to expand its footprint in key global markets. By offering a unique blend of comfort, connectivity, and modern amenities, the hotel aims to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers visiting Gothenburg. This new addition further strengthens Hyatt’s presence in Scandinavia, contributing to the brand’s growth in one of Europe’s most dynamic regions.
