Rush Street Interactive Launches Program to Teach Teens About Gambling Risk

Rush Street Interactive (RSI), a big name in US online gaming, has started a new program to teach high school students about gambling. The program called Gaming Literacy Aiding Decisions (GLAD), is a team effort with Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360), a company that helps with rules and integrity in business.

GLAD Program Launches to Equip Teens with Gambling Awareness in Digital Age

GLAD aims to help teens understand gambling better now that online betting is more visible. The program gives schools a plan to teach teens how to think about gambling in a healthy way. Right now, GLAD is starting in New Jersey and Delaware. RSI plans to grow the program after they see how it works and what people think about it.

RSI’s CEO Richard Schwartz stressed that the program’s driving force comes from how online gambling has become normal in daily life. He pointed out that kids today live surrounded by digital entertainment, and a lot of it has gambling parts, so they need education that matches what they deal with. Schwartz worried about young people seeing gambling content, saying it is key that they have the tools to make smart choices.

GLAD wants to be a helper for teachers, offering them lesson materials and speakers to get open talks going in class. The goal is not to say gambling is good, but to give students the background they need to understand it, see the risks, and figure out their own limits.

GLAD Sets the Stage for a New Approach to Teen Gambling Awareness, Says IC360 Leader

IC360 Co-CEO Eric Frank applauded RSI’s effort, noting that few companies in the field tackle this problem head-on. He thinks the GLAD program creates a model by merging business resources with learning aims, assisting schools to address a subject that often lacks formal coverage in lesson plans.

The program’s debut happens during a wider national talk about youth betting as online platforms make it more accessible. New research indicates that a large number of high school students have tried some type of gambling, making early action even more urgent.

RSI, which runs brands like BetRivers and PlaySugarHouse, has an established history in regulated markets throughout North and South America. The company states that GLAD shows its wider dedication to responsible gaming, seeing education as a crucial partner to regulation.

With its foundation now set in two states, GLAD’s growth in the upcoming months will act as a trial to see how gaming companies can make a real difference in youth education and public awareness. If it works well, it might become a blueprint for similar efforts across North America.
