Miley Cyrus Shares Emotional Statement About Disagreement with Parents

MILEY Cyrus has spoken out for the first time about speculation of a family rift after rumors of tension began circulating online – fueled recently by Tish accidentally unfollowing Miley on social media.

The 32-year-old singer addressed the rumors in a heartfelt statement shared to her Instagram Story, as she shut down the ongoing chatter around Tish and her dad Billy Ray.

Miley added her voice to the conversation, making it clear that her bond with her mother remains strong.

She said: “I rarely comment on rumors, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us.

“She’s my best friend. Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me — simple, coincidental and uninteresting.”

Miley also addressed her relationship with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, acknowledging their complex relationship but insisting they are in a good place.

“My dad and I have had our challenges over the years,” she continued.

“Now, in my 30s, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.”

She concluded: “Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.”

On Friday, Miley posted a heartwarming photo with Billy Ray on Instagram, as the pair came together to celebrate her brother Braison’s 31st birthday.

The father-daughter duo appeared in good spirits, smiling warmly in the family snap.

Speculation of a rift between Miley and Billy Ray began earlier this year, amid reports she feared he could de-rail her music comeback.

Billy Ray Cyrus finalizes divorce from Firerose and will pay ex-wife $0 after nasty court battle over 7-month marriage

The Sun revealed the family feud began in 2022 when it was announced that Billy Ray and Tish – Miley’s mom – were divorcing after 29 years of marriage.

The divide deepened when Billy Ray got engaged just months later to Australian singer Firerose, who is only four years older than Miley.

In the past year, Billy Ray has found himself at the center of allegations of domestic abuse from Firerose, which he has denied.

He also made headlines for a widely criticized performance at an inauguration event for former President Donald Trump, which was marred by technical issues and awkward moments.

He is now dating Austin Powers actress Liz Hurley, 59.

However, none of his six children including daughter Noah have liked or interacted with any of their posts together online.

It comes as Miley’s mom was last year accused of stealing husband Dominic Purcell from daughter Noah – and Noah was supposedly exiled from her mom’s wedding.

The mother and daughter reconciled, and Noah recently hit back at a fan on TikTok who brought it up by saying Noah and Purcell had “sexy time.”

She replied: “I’m so sorry but will you pleeeeeass just choke on the fattest c**k?”

Noah did not attend her mom’s wedding as she appared to side with Billy during her parents’ divorce.

The star was pictured outside of Walmart wearing a Billy Ray t-shirt during the process.

Meanwhile, Miley is preparing to release her highly anticipated ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, on May 30.
