Saints to hold training camp in Metairie

New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore confirmed this morning that the team will hold training camp at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie this year. Moore confirmed the news at the annual NFL league meetings in Palm Beach, FL.

This comes as good news for fans who were disappointed last season when the team had to relocate training camp to Irvine, CA due to ongoing renovations to the facility last year.

Moore said being in Louisiana and the exposure to the heat and getting accustomed to it will be some value to it. “Training camp isn’t supposed to be easiest thing in the world so there will be some challenges with the heat but that will be a good thing for our team.”

He also added that they are also looking at other places to go for a shorter period of time for joint practices. “We will navigate that as go.”
