Split Fiction Has Sold About Four Million Copies Worldwide

A Sales Milestone for Split Fiction

Split Fiction, the latest co-op action adventure title from Hazelight and EA, has sold nearly four million copies worldwide. EA revealed this sales milestone in its latest financial results. This follow-up to It Takes Two came out in March with a “hugely successful launch”.

Hazelight also commented on the news and said: “4 MILLION SOLD!!!! So many of you have picked up Split Fiction already, it’s amazing… Seeing the fun you have with our game and the love you show for Mio, Zoe, and each other warms our hearts here at Hazelight. And so many hot dogs made…”

EA already reported that this game, directed by Josef Fares, sold over 1 million copies in just 48 hours. The game places two writers in a co-op adventure as they journey through levels inspired by the stories they’ve tried to publish.

Our official review mentioned that: “Split Fiction is a soulful, artfully crafted experience. Mechanically, it is user-friendly, even for those who don’t play games much. It is stunning with its set pieces, character designs, and overall visual appeal that brings these tales to life. Meeting Mio and Zoe, learning their stories, and seeing who they are unfold – all within the scope of narratives they created – is a creative marvel. This all unfolds while under an overarching narrative with its own meta-subtext in a brilliantly clever feat of writing. Split Fiction is an innovative, exciting experience that is well worth every moment.”

Additionally, according to Variety, the game is getting a live-action movie that is now in the works, and will star Sydney Sweeney. So, stay tuned for more updates in the future.
