Jon Jones announced as Dirty Boxing co-owner

Jon Jones is joining forces with Mike Perry.

Dirty Boxing Championship announced Friday that the UFC heavyweight champion and former light heavyweight great has signed on to be a co-owner of the combat sports promotion. The news was first reported by TMZ.

“I was hooked from the first show,” Jones said in the announcement. “I believe this is going to be a powerhouse of combat sports. I’m proud to sign my name next to it.”

The move also continues Jones’ working relationship with managers Malki and Abe Kawa, who founded Dirty Boxing alongside Perry in in 2024. The Dirty Boxing ruleset features fighters competing in five-ounce gloves, with elbows and limited ground-and-pound included.

Dirty Boxing holds its next event Saturday, headlined by former UFC middleweight title challenger Yoel Romero fighting Ras Hylton in a heavyweight bout. Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski competes in the co-main event, where he fights Terrance Hodges.

Jones is expected to be in attendance at Saturday’s show in Miami.

Jones’ UFC career is currently on hold as fans wait to see if he will sign on for a bout with interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall. “Bones” has dismissed Aspinall as a contender on several occasions, instead leaning towards a fight with Alex Pereira, who recently lost his light heavyweight title to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313.
