National Highways has published a pipeline notice for a new procurement framework worth up to £14.5bn to deliver small improvement and renewal works across England’s major road network.
The Scheme Delivery Framework 2 (SDF2) is intended to replace the current Scheme Delivery Framework and Pavement Delivery Framework, which expire in early 2027. The new arrangement will run for more than eight years, from March 2027 to September 2035.
SDF2 will be used to procure works and design services covering the entire Strategic Road Network (SRN), which spans over 4,500 miles of motorways and major A roads across England.
