Like Lamine Yamal: Flying Eagles stars join ‘Shake Body’ trend after U-20 AFCON win over Senegal

Soccer

Just like Lamine Yamal, Flying Eagles stars have been spotted vibing to the latest “Shake Body” dance trend, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria’s U-20 team is soaring on the pitch and also setting the mood off the pitch with some rhythm, having defeated Senegal in the quarterfinals.

After sealing their place in the semi-finals of the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and securing a ticket to the FIFA U-20 World Cup, the boys marked their victory by joining the trend.

The quarterfinal clash against Senegal ended in a dramatic penalty shootout, with Nigeria edging past the Young Lions of Teranga to book a semifinal date with South Africa.

The tense match saw standout performances from players like Ebenezer Harcourt, Daniel Bameyi, Precious Benjamin, and a host of others whose contributions have been pivotal throughout the tournament.

But it was the post-match celebration that got fans buzzing online. In a video shared shortly after the win, Precious Benjamin and Clinton Jephta were seen dancing to Nigerian artist Skales’ hit song “Shake Body”.

This has become a dance trend that recently went viral after Lamine Yamal and his Barcelona teammates joined in following their Copa del Rey victory over Real Madrid.

Nigeria will square off against South Africa in what has been dubbed an Amapiano versus Afrobeat showdown, with both sides aiming for a place in the final of the U-20 AFCON tournament.
