Entertainment

Entertainment company Bushiroad opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Atekichi‘s Heroine? Seijo? Iie, All Works Maid desu (Hokori)! (Heroine? Saint? No, I’m an All-Works Maid (And Proud of It)!) light novel on Monday, revealing the cast, animation studio, and a teaser visual (pictured).

EMT Squared, the animation studio behind Assassins Pride and Yuusha, Yamemasu (I’m Quitting Heroing), is producing the anime.

Voice actresses Yume Miyamoto (Kanojo ga Koushaku-tei ni Itta Riyuu) and Rumi Ookubo (Fate/Apocrypha) are starring as Melody Wave and Luciana Ruttleberg, respectively.

Atekichi began penning the isekai fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2017. TO Books began publishing the series with illustrations by Yukiko in March 2020. The sixth volume went on sale in October 2024, with the seventh volume set for a May 15 release. The light novel has a cumulative 500,000 copies of its volumes in print.

Keiko originally began serializing a manga adaptation on Piccoma in March 2021 before transferring it to Comic Corona in May that year. TO Books plans to also release the sixth volume on May 15.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga in English in June 2024. The second novel volume shipped on March 25, with the third manga volume going on sale on Tuesday.

Synopsis
“I will become the world’s most wonderful maid!” With her skirt fluttering in black and white, the girl shouted. Her name is Melody. A reincarnated former Japanese girl, she now pursues her dream in her new life, working as an all-purpose maid for a poor count’s family in the kingdom of Théolas. When she makes it, even cheap tea turns into a luxury brew, and a dilapidated mansion is quickly restored to new! Cleaning, serving, hunting, DIY—leave it all to her and her powerful magic.

Unbeknownst to Melody, this world is actually an otome game, and she is the most powerful and invincible heroine, the saint! Yet, she remains oblivious to this fact. Romance with handsome men? Attacks by the Demon Lord? Work comes first! A fantasy of misunderstood work that unknowingly shatters destiny! (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)
