World Liberty Financial Plans USD1 Airdrop for $WLFI Holders

World Liberty Financial Plans USD1 Airdrop for $WLFI Holders

This advisory proposal is currently open for discussion. It outlines a test distribution of a small amount of USD1 per eligible wallet.

More than just a gesture of gratitude, this plan recognizes early $WLFI supporters. It also marks a key step in WLF’s mission to roll out robust onchain financial tools.

Putting the System to the Test

Airdrops are onchain transfers of tokens to wallets holding certain assets. They are widely used in the crypto space to distribute new tokens or incentivize user participation. For WLF, this pilot serves as a real-time check of its airdrop infrastructure. The goal? Ensure that smart contracts execute properly on Ethereum Mainnet and that eligible users receive tokens accurately and securely.

Many projects—like Arbitrum and Optimism—have used test or phased airdrops to confirm technical setups ahead of major launches. For example, Optimism’s early airdrop in 2022 helped the team refine their reward system while creating buzz around the token. In WLF’s case, distributing USD1, its own dollar-pegged stablecoin, provides a low-risk but high-value opportunity to validate performance in production.

The exact amount of USD1 to be airdropped will depend on budget and the number of qualifying wallets. Every eligible $WLFI holder—regardless of how much they own—could be included, subject to final eligibility criteria. Funding will come directly from World Liberty Financial, Inc., and the airdrop may be modified or canceled at the team’s discretion.
