Flying Eagles of Nigeria will return to action at the ongoing 2025 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in less than two days, Soccernet.ng reports.

Aliyu Zubairu’s boys are set to face fellow Group B heavyweights Morocco in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter between two former champions.

It is a battle for all three points, with both the West and North African teams having secured victories in their openers to sit joint-top of the group.

The match is the second group game for both teams and could be pivotal in deciding who finishes top of the group.

Both teams are eyeing the top spot in Group B. Nigeria earned a gritty 1-0 win over Tunisia in their opener, as well as Morocco, which secured a 2-3 comeback victory against Kenya. The two teams will be looking to continue their strong start as well.

Victory for the Flying Eagles would all but secure a place in the quarter-finals and take them a step closer to qualifying for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.

The match is set to be one of the standout ties of the group stage with plenty of attacking talent on both sides, including Nigeria’s Kparobo Arierhi, Clinton Jephta, and Divine Oliseh.
