Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis, currently plying his trade at Turkish Süper Lig club Göztepe, is still vying for a move away from the Gürsel Aksel Stadium this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Eagles invitee has earlier emerged as a transfer target for several European clubs, including Leeds United and VfB Stuttgart.

The 20-year-old has made a positive impression with his performance, with scouts from Germany, England, and France reportedly monitoring his progress.

Dennis, who joined Göztepe from HB Academy Abuja in January 2023, quickly rose through the ranks to become a key player for the club.

His contributions were instrumental in Göztepe’s promotion to the Süper Lig, which led to a contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2027.

Despite his contract, interest from European clubs remains strong. Leeds United, aiming to bolster their midfield options, have reportedly made inquiries about Dennis. Vfb Stuttgart are also said to be keen on securing his services.

Dennis’s agent, Eddie Bonsu of Elite Project Group, has remained tight-lipped about potential transfers, stating that discussions about the player’s future will be held in due course.

Ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window, Dennis’s situation will be one to watch, with Göztepe potentially facing a battle to retain the Nigerian star.
