The people of Igbara-Oke in Ondo State have gathered to protest against the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Igbara Oke, citing allegations of extortion and misconduct.
In a video making waves online, the people trooped out in their numbers to protest at the premises of the police station to register their displeasure about the activities of the said Divisional Police Officer whom they accused of high handedness and exploitation.
The protesters carried leaves and chanted songs calling for the removal of the DPO. Some of the protesters who spoke with newsmen alleged that the DPO charges fifty thousand naira to two hundred thousand naira for any issue no matter how minor.
The protesters called on the ondo state commissioner of police to intervene and remove the DPO.
