Pakistanis Set up Record 8,000 New Companies in UAE in 2024

Over the past year, Pakistanis have started more than 8,000 new businesses in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This has brought the total number of Pakistani-owned companies in the UAE to 47,000.

This rise in business activity is part of a larger trend, as people from other countries are also setting up businesses in the UAE. For example, Indian entrepreneurs have launched over 16,500 new companies, while Egyptians have started 5,300, and British investors have established 2,600 businesses.

According to Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, the Pakistani Ambassador to the UAE, this increase in Pakistani investments is a positive development for both countries. It helps strengthen economic ties between Pakistan and the UAE and also leads to higher remittances being sent back to Pakistan, which supports the country’s economy.

The growing number of Pakistani businesses in the UAE reflects the confidence of Pakistani entrepreneurs in the region’s business opportunities and their commitment to expanding trade and investment.
