Here’s why we’ve made those selections..
- Liverpool Win: Ok, it’s not been a particularly happy hunting ground for Liverpool in the Premier League, but given Manchester City’s key absentees and their meek display against Real Madrid midweek – we expect Arne Slot’s side to complete the Premier League double over City for just the third time.
- BTTS (YES): Nobody has scored more goals than Manchester City over the last six league matches (20) and we expect them to strike once against a Liverpool side who’ve shipped eight in their last five away games in all competitions.
- Mohamed Salah to score: Very little explanation needed here. The Egyptian has netted in each of his last seven starts and has more Premier League goals against Pep Guardiola’s side (since 2016-17) than any other player.
- Bernardo Silva carded: Always a favourite selection of mine in the big games. The Portuguese, 30, has received more yellow cards (7) against Liverpool than any other side faced in his career.
