Indian electronic duo Tech Panda x Kenzani amp up the drama on the dancefloor with their Afrotech song “Ek Tara,” featuring vocals by singer Mitika Kanwar. You can hear the song exclusively before its streaming release on Mar. 19, 2025.

Following the release of their 2024 album Tijori, Tech Panda and Kenzani have been putting out a few Afro edits of songs like “Sada” and “Heer,” building up to their changing approach to production. The duo says in a statement, “Evolution is a part of being an artist and it is, therefore, in our innate nature to keep changing our sound and tailor it to the emotions we feel at a certain time.” To that end, they’ve spent the past year creating “more fiery sounds that invoke a different kind of excitement” among them. “Ek Tara” brings them closer to unveiling the full extent of that aesthetic.  “This song literally started the fire within us once again,” the duo says.

The song brings in tireless percussion and tunneling synth work that’s bound to draw out any listener to the drops, going beyond their usual four-to-the-floor banger approach. A press release adds, “The soaring serenade paints a vivid picture of longing, love and desire, backed by the sought-after studio-wizards’ propulsive production.”

Tech Panda and Kenzani acknowledge that every piece of music will evoke a different reaction from listeners and see this as the “beauty of it.” They add, “‘Ek Tara’ aims to demolish dance floors while still telling the Tech Panda and Kenzani story and that is exactly what the talented Mitika Kanwar has done using her hypnotic vocals. We always test out unreleased tracks at our shows to gauge the response of our fans, and our fans have shown massive love to ‘Ek Tara.’ The track has also received much love internationally by other DJs as part of their sets.”
