MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday said the United States (US) remained the “greatest force” in maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific region amid growing Chinese pressure in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea).
In his meeting with US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in Malacaañang, Marcos described the US top official’s visit as a “very strong indication” of the two countries’ shared commitment to peace in the region.
