PfH Scotland has selected 38 contractors for a £380 million homes maintenance framework for Scottish councils and housing associations.

The four-year framework includes 22 regional SME contractors and 16 larger national firms such as Bell Group, CCG Scotland, Clark Contracts, Easy Heat Systems, GMG Contractors, McConnell, Procast, Sidey Solutions, Joinery and Timber Creations (JTC), and Wren Kitchens (full list by lot below).

Spanning 12 lots tailored to geographic regions, the framework is designed to meet diverse local needs and allows social landlords to procure either supply-only services or a combined supply-and-installation offering.

Full property refurbishment is also available under the agreement.

Workstreams covered include the provision of kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, electrical systems, roofing, painting, decorating, property refurbishment, hard landscaping, and fencing.

The framework is expected to support Scottish social landlords grappling with remediation costs related to RAAC, cladding, damp and mould, as well as obligations under the Scottish Housing Quality Standard, fire safety, and decarbonisation requirements.

Chris McGinn, commercial manager at PfH Scotland, said the framework was developed to help landlords cope with inflationary pressures and competing priorities. “We designed this framework with social landlords so it could offer flexible, low cost, high quality options for planned works, enabling a quick and precise match between their requirements and suppliers,” he said.

McConnell regional managing director (Scotland) John Hepburn said the framework offered a comprehensive solution: “Our vision at McConnell is to deliver quality works to the communities we work within and that’s more important than ever with the incredibly challenging landscape that Scottish housing providers are operating in right now.”
