What made you decide you wanted to be a football player?

At the age of six, I started  playing on a youth flag football team, where I showcased a lot of potential. Then, just to be able to go out there and enjoy every moment. Helped create my love for the game.

What are your favorite moments from your football life?

There are many to choose from, but one that sticks with me was the offseason going into my senior year of high school. COVID forced everyone to stay home and indoors. This allowed me more time to train, pushing my work ethic and competitive nature to another level.

What are you looking to achieve as a football player going forward?

I am looking to take full advantage of the next opportunity to play at the highest level. My goal has always been to be the greatest WR of all time. So, attacking every day with that mindset to outwork yesterday.

If you could hang out with any football player past or present for a day, who and why?

Tom Brady, as a football fan, I chose him, but even as an athlete, he has so much experience with the game of football. There is an immense amount of knowledge I would be able to gain. In addition, catching a pass from Tom Brady brings to life a dream from my younger self.

Which one of your family members inspires you the most and why?

My father is my biggest inspiration. He is the person that leads by example. He placed down a sturdy foundation that made it easy for me to not steer far from it. I know that he made a bunch of sacrifices to get me where I am today, and no question that he would do it all again. His resilience has motivated me to keep pushing forward to all my goals.

What is your favorite offensive scheme and why?

My favorite offensive scheme is vertical with a little west coast principles. Because it allows me chances to showcase my speed and ability to stretch the field while also incorporating quick and efficient routes. This gets the ball in playmaker’s hands early. I think it maximizes the opportunities for explosive plays.

What should we know about Redd Douglas the person?

I am somebody who wasn’t supposed to even be presented with an opportunity to play at the next level. When I think back to my sophomore year in high school, I didn’t even play football; I was playing basketball instead. Moving on, to barely seeing the field as a junior. Then starting as a senior where I had an amazing year, that gave me a shot to play the collegiate level. So, I am someone who is no stranger to overcoming obstacles. I just want people to know it is possible to get better at anything when you’re consistent and find a love for something you can work your way up to, whatever limits you want.

What stands out about your film the most?

I believe what stands out the most is my explosiveness. I have a great ability to make people miss in any situation and stretch defenses vertically. This comes with my skill to make contested catches and find openings in zones.

How do you handle challenges both in life and on the football field?

Consistently staying positive, I understand it’s inevitable to have a bad day; no one’s perfect, but never let anything stack or have a domino effect. So facing or dealing with that challenge straight on is how I attack it.

What would a team get in a player like you?

The ultimate competitor, I don’t like to lose in any way, shape, or form. I am someone who is going to put forth the upmost effort it takes to complete whatever task at hand or is asked out of me.

What do you love the most about the game of football?

Everything, from the offseason to playing in season, from relationships you build. But more specifically, just the work it requires; it’s not something that happens overnight, so I love the work you have to put in order to be considered great; the work people don’t get to see.

Who is the most underrated player you’ve played with and why?

I’ve come across many good athletes throughout my career. But someone that I think about when I read this question is Jayden Farmer, running back for the University of Findlay. I got a chance to play this season with him, and he is a workhorse that knows how to run with a football. He is going to be a bright star in this upcoming season and is somebody that needs to be watched.
