EXCLUSIVE: The Writers Guild Foundation has revealed the six military veterans who have been selected to participate in the 2025 Veterans Fellowship program.

The 2025 cohort includes Addison Blu, Christopher Harris, LeVonda Lee, Corinthian Maldonado, RJ Palisoc, and Anthony Pittore.

All six participants will be paired with mentors from across the entertainment industry who are willing to lend their wealth of experience to provide educational resources, professional guidance, and career-building opportunities to these veterans.

The expert writers who will be mentoring this cohort are: Hart Hanson (Bones), Kyle Harimoto (NCIS: Los Angeles), Stefani Robinson (Atlanta), Kira Snyder (The Handmaid’s Tale), Craig Sweeny (Watson), and David Weddle (For All Mankind).

The fellowship will be led by instructor TV writer and development executive Eli Edelson. In a statement Thursday, Edelson said: “I’m thankful to the Writers Guild Foundation for providing the resources, community, and support to help these veterans transition careers and finally get to tell their stories. Mentorship can be the key to success in Hollywood, and we are lucky to have this incredible lineup of showrunners to guide our group. Despite it being a difficult time in the industry, I have confidence these six brilliant writers will make their mark before long.”

The Veterans Fellowship, established in 2024, aims to engage fellows in one-on-one mentorship that guides them through polishing scripts and developing extensive insights on the business of television writing. Additionally, participants will have access to a series of workshops tailored toward career development and networking opportunities.

This program builds off the success of the foundation’s Veterans Writing Project, a yearlong mentorship program that has been helping U.S. military veterans develop their craft as screenwriters since 2010.
