‘He’s Definitely the Best QB in This Draft’ – Travis Hunter Extends Full Support to His Pal Shedeur Sanders at NFL Combine

The stage is set for Travis Hunter as the 2025 NFL Combine officially begins at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The Colorado standout is not expected to participate in position drills but will interview with several NFL teams.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday morning, Hunter gave a shoutout to Shedeur Sanders. Coach Prime’s son happens to be a top QB prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft; however, he won’t be participating in the Combine drills but rather will showcase his throwing skills during Colorado’s Pro Day.

Travis Hunter Gives a Big Shoutout to Shedeur Sanders

Heading into the draft, Hunter has been catching the attention of top teams in the pecking order. The Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants are reportedly in contention for the Colorado star. Before the drills, Hunter, who was facing the media, was asked about his pal Shedeur and what he thinks about his draft stock.

“I’m very confident. I believe he’s definitely the best quarterback in this draft,” Hunter said to reporters. This week, NFL insider Joel Klatt also reviewed Sanders’ potential landing spots. He mentioned that almost no one in the class is as impressive as Shedeur and that he is a class apart.

“Sanders is excellent. I think he’s a phenomenal player. He is equal parts surgeon and artist, and that’s one of the reasons why I love his game. I think it’s translatable to the National Football League,” Klatt said on his show this week.

“When he needs to be, he can be a surgeon. He can sit in the pocket and just dice people up. He anticipates as well as anybody in this draft.

“He’s hyper-accurate, so he’s got that ability to just be the prototypical pocket guy, dicing you up and down the field, in intermediate zones, driving the football, throwing with touch, and then taking easy throws on the outside as well, or even in the middle of the field.

“He’s got that surgeon and command capabilities that you would want to see from your starting quarterback,” he added.

During the 2024 season, Shedeur Sanders recorded 4,134 yards and scored 37 touchdowns while throwing only 10 interceptions. He also won the 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. No doubt, Sanders could become the next big thing in the NFL.
