Newcastle United are interested in signing Bryan Mbeumo from Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to CaughtOffSide. The report has claimed that the Magpies are ready to pay the £50 million needed to secure the services of Mbeumo.
However, Newcastle are not the only club who are keen on a summer deal for Mbeumo. The 25-year-old Cameroon international is on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United as well. The forward has scored 15 goals and given six assists in 33 matches in all competitions so far this season.
Mbeumo, who is the subject of interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as well, scored nine goals and provided six assists in 27 appearances for Brentford last season. The Bees are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 41 points from 29 games.
