Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored a hat-trick for Galatasaray in their 4-0 bashing of Antalyaspor at Rams Park on Friday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been on fire this season and he continued with his brilliance when Galatasaray welcomed Antalyaspor to Istanbul. The Lions had drawn their last four games across all competitions and they needed to return to winning ways.

The Super Eagles star led the line for the reigning Turkish champions and they started the game on fire.

Galatasaray had some good looks at goal in the opening minutes with Davinson Sanchez and Przemyslaw Frankowski missing chances early on. Osimhen had a chance in the 25th minute but he flunked his opportunity.

However, just five minutes later, he scored. Osimhen got on the end of a square ball from Alvaro Morata in the box and sent a low finish into the net.

Just before the break, Galatasaray struck again. This time, it was courtesy of Morata. The Lions won a penalty in the 44th after a VAR review, but Osimhen left it for Morata. The Spanaird made no mistake from the spot as he converted to make it 2-0.

Galatasaray started the second half well, and they nicked the fourth in the 52nd minute. Thus time, Osimhen received a through pass from Yunus Akgun and struck a low shot into the net to make it 4-0.

Victor Osimhen’s hat-trick against Antalyaspor is just a testament of his quality. Heading into the games against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, he is expected to lead the line.

Clearly, he is in form, and coach Eric Chelle will hope that he carries this form into the Super Eagles’ games.

If Chelle can work out a good playing style that will ensure that the team create plenty chances, Osimhen could have a good day in front of goal.
