Minor Hotels Europe & Americas has announced the upcoming addition of NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso to its portfolio under the NH Collection Hotels & Resorts brand in Italy.

Scheduled to open in March 2025, this four-star property is located in the town of Alagna Valsesia, at the base of Monte Rosa, and will undergo a renovation process prior to its relaunch.

The hotel will cater to a wide range of travelers, including families and ski enthusiasts. It is situated just minutes from the Alagna cable car, providing access to the Monte Rosa Ski area, which links three valleys—Valsesia, Gressoney, and Champoluc—offering over 150 kilometers of ski slopes.

“The collaboration with Minor Hotels is a great opportunity for Mirtillo Rosso, the people who work here and all of Valsesia. Being part of such a relevant international group is an opportunity for development, but also a recognition of the value and beauty of this side of Monte Rosa. With the Minor group, I share the search for a sustainable business model, with strong values and deep local roots, through a focus on people and respect for the environment.” – Lara Ponti, owner of Hotel Mirtillo Rosso

The NH Collection Alagna Mirtillo Rosso will feature 56 guest rooms. The wellness center will include two separate areas: a 300-square-meter adult-only space with an indoor and outdoor pool, a salt flotation pool, whirlpools, saunas, a Turkish bath, and treatment rooms, and a 400-square-meter family-friendly area with its own indoor and outdoor pool. Guests can also enjoy the spacious garden with a children’s play area and sun loungers. The hotel’s restaurant will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with both full board and à la carte options available.

“We are very pleased to announce that such a special property, in the heart of the Alps, will become part of our portfolio, in a country as important to us as Italy, the European country with the second largest number of Minor Hotels properties” –  Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels.

This property will enhance the NH Collection brand’s presence in Italy, where it already operates 17 hotels in cities such as Rome, Milan, Venice, and Florence. The brand is also present in Turin with NH Collection Torino Piazza Carlina and NH Collection Torino Santo Stefano. Overall, Minor Hotels has 60 properties in Italy under various brands, including Anantara, Tivoli, Avani, NH Collection, and others.
