Nigerian forward makes comeback at Sevilla after one-month injury lay-off

Nigerian striker Akor Adams is close to returning to action for Sevilla as he has started light training after spending close to a month on the sidelines due to an injury, Soccernet.ng reports.

After just two weeks at Sevilla, Adams was confirmed to have suffered a tendon injury on his left leg, and that was supposed to keep him out of action for a month. The injury kept him out of Sevilla’s last game against Barcelona, Valladolid, and Mallorca.

However, the 25-year-old forward appears to be nearing a return. This is as Viva Sevilla reports that Adams has returned to light training. However, it is unlikely that he will be available for their game against Rayo Vallecano at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas on Saturday.

It has been a slow start to life for Akor Adams at Sevilla. Obviously, the injury has hindered him significantly.

However, he should be available for action by next week. His return will give coach Garcia Pimienta an extra option and a bit of quality in the attack.

Adams showed his ability in France with Montpellier. And if he is fit and in form, he could be an important player for Sevilla.
