Pro Bowl selections leave Baltimore Ravens duo with stark difference in reaction as franchise history achieved

There are two sides to every coin.

As is the case with two teammates on the Baltimore Ravens who both accomplished the same goal, yet each had two very different reactions in accomplishing that goal.

Running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver Zay Flowers were both announced as Pro Bowlers.

This marks Henry’s third straight Pro Bowl, and fifth overall.

Meanwhile, this was Flowers’ first.

And the first time in Baltimore’s 29-year history that the franchise has had a wide receiver make it to the Pro Bowl.

Safe to say that the two players had two totally different reactions.

The Baltimore Ravens’ social team posted a video of general manager Eric DeCosta breaking news to Flowers and capturing his joyous and surprising reaction.

“I don’t even know what to say,” an emotional Flowers said with a huge smile across his face.

“I can’t even cry. It’s crazy, this is something I dreamed about as a kid…

“Everybody has dreams of doing it, but it’s crazy when it really hits.

“Got the Pro Bowl.”

Flowers has caught 73 passes for 1,047 yards and four touchdowns with one game of the regular season to go to go.

Meanwhile, Flowers’ teammate, Henry, had a more ‘business as usual’ reaction when DeCosta informed the star running back he once again made the Pro Bowl.

“You made the Pro Bowl,” DeCosta said.

“Cool,” Henry responded.

Business as usual for the running back that has nearly 1,800 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns on the year.

Henry has been the most dominant back in the AFC, and outside of Saquon Barkley, the most dominant back in the NFL.

His selection comes as no surprise, while Flowers’ selection can be considered somewhat of a surprise.

However, both are highly deserving of the honor.

In total, the Ravens had nine players selected to the Pro Bowl, a number that was the most in the league.

Included amongst the nine, is quarterback Lamar Jackson who is looking to take home his third MVP award as well.

Jackson, along with Josh Allen, look to be the two front-runners for the award as the regular season comes to an end.

The 11-5 Ravens play the Cleveland Browns in Week 18 and will clinch the AFC North with a win.
