Not Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks or GSW: Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala reveals love for NBA team

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has revealed that her favourite NBA team is the Los Angeles Lakers, Soccernet.ng reports.

Oshoala is one of the greatest players to grace the African Football scene. But she has quite an active life outside of the game. The 30-year-old Super Falcons star is an ardent follower of basketball and tennis, and she has often shared updates from both sports.

Asisat Oshoala met Steph Curry after the Warriors defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks 125-90, on Wednesday night.

Asisat moved to the US team Bay FC last month after years at FC Barcelona.

After leaving Barcelona for American club Bay FC, she went to watch some NBA games and even took pictures with the Giannis Antetokoumpo and his brother Thanasis.

She even revealed her admiration for basketball legend LeBron James in an interview with FIFA.com.

Recently, Oshoala participated in an Instagram trend where she asked her followers to ask her questions. And she revealed that her favourite basketball team is the LA Lakers.

The Lakers are the second most successful team in the NBA with 17 titles, one behind Boston Celtics, who have 18. They have had some of the greatest basketball players grace their roster.

Asisat Oshoala is set for her second season with Bay FC. Last season, she contributed eight goals and one assist in 26 league appearances. But she will be looking to increase that tally last season.

The former Arsenal Ladies star has been sharing videos of herself in personal training, and that shows that she wants to do better in some aspects of her game.

The NWSL season begins in mid-March. Bay FC will play their first game of the season against Utah Royals on March 16.
