One-armed fighter dominates opponent to score KO win at ONE 171

Soccer

Jake Peacock just produced a sublime stoppage, with the one-handed fighter dismantling Shinji Suzuki at ONE 171.

The son of Chelsea soccer legend, Gavin Peacock, looked nothing short of sensational, as he picked his opponent apart with his array of flashy kicks.

Due to a problem with the amniotic band wrapping around his arm in the early stages of development, the Englishman ended up missing his right forearm.

However, rather than letting his limb difference hold him back, he instead showcased incredible mental resilience, taking up Muay Thai, where he’s quickly becoming one of the best competitors on the planet.

Soccer Jake Peacock destroys Shinji Suzuki at ONE 171

Jake Peacock arrived at the Lusail Sports Arena in Qatar with a point to prove, quickly heading straight for Shinji Suzuki.

The English-Canadian dominated the first segment, firing vicious kicks at his rival’s head, body and legs.

In the second, the 31-year-old began to unleash an unrelenting wave of pressure, mixing up his strikes, throwing slick left hooks to the body and ruthless knees upstairs, one of which resulted in his foe crumbling toward the canvas.

In a testament to his courage, the Japanese brawler survived the round, but he wouldn’t be so lucky in the third.

Smelling blood in the water, Peacock zoned in like a shark, quickly scoring a second knockdown.

Realizing the end was nigh, the English-born scrapper landed a leg kick, which completely took Suzuki’s legs away, earning him a third knockdown.

At this point, Peacock unloaded the kitchen sink, forcing the Road to ONE: Japan winner to the floor once again, which prompted the referee to jump in and call a halt to the action.

Soccer Jonathan Haggerty reveals the former UFC champion he’d love to face in a mixed-rules fight

With a huge win, Peacock has given the Brits a surge of momentum, with Jonathan Haggerty set to take to the cage in just a matter of hours.

The Londoner will defend his ONE bantamweight kickboxing title against Wei Rui, in a match-up in which he knows he has to be at his best.

However, having watched Demetrious Johnson vs Rodtang Jitmuangnon, ‘The General’ is already thinking about what’s next.

With a drive to push himself to the limit, Haggerty has named his two dream opponents for mixed-rules showdowns.
