Nigerian internationals Bruno Onyemaechi and Deborah Abiodun made impressive debuts for their respective clubs over the weekend, displaying their talents across Greece and the United States, Soccernet.ng reports.

Nigeria’s Abiodun makes Dallas Trinity bow in USL Super League

Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun made her debut for Dallas Trinity in a 1-1 draw against Tampa Bay Sun in a USL Super League clash on Sunday.

Abiodun, who joined Trinity on loan from Washington Spirit on February 7, replaced the injured Lucy Shepherd in the first half at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.

At that point, her side was leading 1-0 courtesy of Alexis Missimo’s fourth-minute strike.

However, Tampa Bay Sun equalized five minutes into the second half through Kennedy Goins, denying Abiodun a winning start with her new club.

Nigeria’s Onyemaechi debuts for Olympiacos in dominant win

In Greece, Super Eagles left-back Bruno Onyemaechi made his first appearance for Olympiacos in their commanding 4-0 victory over Panserraikos.

Olympiacos, who signed Onyemaechi from Boavista for €2.5 million in January, had left the Nigerian on the bench in their previous 1-1 draw with Asteras Tripolis.

However, he was introduced in the 63rd minute against Panserraikos, replacing Argentine defender Francisco Ortega.

Moments later, Gelson Martins added a fourth goal, sealing a comfortable win for the reigning Europa Conference League champions. Onyemaechi will now be aiming for his full debut when Olympiacos host PAOK next weekend.

Chinedu’s dream debut in Serbia

Chinedu, who joined from Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Široki Brijeg on February 12, started on the bench but was introduced in the 64th minute. Just ten minutes later, the 25-year-old pounced on a cross from Mehmed Cosic, side-footing home the match-winner at Stadion Čika Dača.

Peseiro starts Zamalek reign with a draw

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles coach José Peseiro oversaw his first match in charge of Egyptian giants Zamalek, but his tenure began with a frustrating 1-1 home draw against Petrojet.

Petrojet, featuring Nigerian youngster Gabrila Chukwudi for 85 minutes, took the lead in stoppage time through Mostafa El Gamal.

However, Zamalek responded immediately, with Naser Mansy equalizing a minute later to prevent Peseiro from starting his new job with a defeat.
