After winning Super Bowl 59, NFL fans have started discussing how impressive the football résumé is of Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Throughout his college and NFL career, Smith has an outstanding compliment of individual and team honors while only being 26 years of age.
Smith was one of the best players in Super Bowl 59 and was a major reason behind the team’s offensive success in the game. The Kansas City Chiefs made it a focus to contain star running back Saquon Barkley, something that made Smith’s efforts that much more necessary for the Eagles. In the contest, Smith capped off his four-reception, 69-yard effort with a 46-yard touchdown catch to make the game 34-0 Philly.

Football Smith’s NFL Career
Smith has been one of the most consistent and elite wide receivers in the NFL since entering the league, even while playing opposite superstar WR A.J. Brown. He is an extremely quick and agile receiver who also has strong hands. He is a great route runner who can create separation with ease against defenders, something that makes him a run-after-catch threat as well.
In his four-year regular-season career to this point, Smith has 308 receptions for 4,011 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns. Those numbers average to 77 receptions, 1,002.75 yards, and 6.75 touchdowns per season, a truly impressive stat line, especially considering the Eagles passed the ball an NFL-low 43.71% of the time this year.
