‘Eli Won 2 and Still Didn’t Get It’ – Jalen Hurts’ Hall of Fame Debate Sparks Discussion Among NFL Fans

Football

ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark believes that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is on track to be a Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee in the future. While appearing on the popular show “First Take,” Clark outlined how there are generally two ways for quarterbacks to enter the Hall of Fame — by either having ridiculous statistics or being a winner in the big games.

Football What Did Ryan Clark Say About Jalen Hurts?

Clark took to social media after discussing his thoughts about Hurts.

“Jalen Hurts is on a Hall of Fame trajectory, & it’s time we acknowledge it. We all agreed that Eli Manning is a Hall of Famer. Albeit, not first ballot… because he won & won big against the best. @JalenHurts has done the same!

“2 ways to get a Gold Jacket as a QB. You can be an enormous individual talent that is the best at what they do, or you just win baby. Hurts is a 1 time Pro Bowler, former All Pro, & Super Bowl MVP. He’s also 4 for 4 on playoffs & in full years started, 6-3 in the playoffs. He’s a winner, & right now a future Hall of Famer. #NFL #JalenHurts #FlyEaglesFly #SuperBowlMVP,” Clark outlined.

In response, one individual compared Hurts to Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Troy Aikman.

“I feel like Hurts is gonna be the Aikman of the Eagles. Dude is just gonna win and win while everyone considers their success due to the star studded team they’ve got,” they added.

Next, one user agreed with Clark’s assessment that Hurts was on a Hall of Fame trajectory.

“Absolutely!” they said.

Finally, one person made clear that they thought that Hurts needed to continue down the path he is on to make the Hall of Fame, given that even a two-time Super Bowl champion in Eli Manning was not included on the first ballot.

“Eli won 2 and still didn’t get it. Questions still arise whether he belongs in HOF,” they stated.

Football Hurts’ Career To This Point

Though it may feel premature for some, Hurts has already had a storied career in the NFL and has shown up when it mattered most for his team. This campaign, his two best performances came in the NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders and in the Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs.

At this point, Hurts is a Super Bowl champion, a Super Bowl MVP, a second-team All-Pro, and a two-time Pro Bowler.
