Leicester to tackle Manchester United with vim following Ndidi injury update

Ndidi2016 English Premier League winners, Leicester City, have received a massive injury update on Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, ahead of their FA Cup clash against Manchester United, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 28-year-old has been out of action since December 8th in the Foxes 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion. Ndidi was withdrawn in the 52nd minute at the King Power Stadium that day, and it was later confirmed he suffered a hamstring injury.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s side picked up a win from nine English Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur eight days ago, before falling to a 4-0 defeat against Everton.

Ahead of Leicester City’s FA Cup 4th round tie against Manchester United, the Foxes boss, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, has confirmed the Super Eagles midfielder is fully fit to feature against Ruben Amorim’s men at Old Trafford tomorrow.

“Wilf is fine. He had a great week of training, last week and this week. He’ll be part of the squad tomorrow.”

“There’s a couple [of players] with some light injuries. They will be assessed today if they can travel or not. There’s two or three with light injuries who are doubtful tomorrow. We’ll see when we announce the squad,” the former Manchester United forward said as revealed by the club’s official website.

Manchester United have injury problems of their own as well. Argentine defender, Lisandro Martinez will not be able to feature again this season after damaging his cruciate ligament.

Additionally, the Red Devils will be without Johnny Evans (Physical discomfort), Luke Shaw (Hamstring setback), and Mason Mount ( Muscle).

Manchester United and Leicester City have been in poor form on all fronts, and it’ll be an interesting match-up when both sides meet tomorrow. With Ndidi’s presence, Leicester can boast about some solidity in front of their defence.
