Soccer Man City, Bayern Munich, Dortmund, AC Milan, PSG target Nigerian star after stunning UCL display

Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika has become one of the most sought-after talents in European football, with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan all reportedly interested in securing his signature, Soccernet.ng understands.

The 23-year-old Club Brugge star caught the eye with a standout performance in the Champions League against Manchester City, where he opened the scoring in a thrilling contest at the Etihad Stadium.

Despite Brugge eventually losing 3-1, Onyedika’s display caught the attention of some of the continent’s biggest clubs. It was, however, not a once-in-a-long-while performance from the Nigerian international.

Onyedika has been a crucial part of Club Brugge’s season, helping the Belgian side maintain an impressive 20-match unbeaten run before their clash with City.

His contributions in both defensive and attacking phases of the game have made him one of Club Brugge’s most valuable assets.

According to reports from Sport via Les Transferts, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and AC Milan have identified the Nigerian international as a priority signing.

Further reports from The Telegraph suggest that Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and FC Porto have also shown interest in the midfielder, who has excelled in the Jupiler Pro League since joining Brugge in 2022 for €9 million.

Onyedika is one of the defensive midfielders on the Man City’s radar as they look for a capable deputy of key man Rodri, who has been battling with injuries.

Now valued at around €30 million, Onyedika could be on the move sooner rather than later, with multiple European powerhouses keen to strengthen their squads with his dynamic playing style.

Despite the growing speculation, Club Brugge remains reluctant to part ways with one of their most valuable assets. The Belgian club sees Onyedika as a vital part of their midfield and may demand a significant fee to sanction his departure.

As speculation over his future continues to grow, Onyedika, however, remains focused on helping Club Brugge in their domestic and European campaigns.

His next challenge comes in the Belgian Pro League, where Brugge will face Royal Antwerp on Sunday, aiming to keep pace in the title race.
