Ravi Naidu Pushes for Adventure Sports Centre in AP

Vijayawada: Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) Chairman Animini Ravi Naidu has urged the Indian Army Adventure Wing to establish an Adventure Sports Training Centre and organise expeditions to promote adventure sports in Andhra Pradesh.

Ravi Naidu met Colonel PS Chouhan, Director of the Indian Army Adventure Wing, in Delhi on Saturday to discuss the proposal. During the meeting, Ravi Naidu assured full support from the state government for the centre. The Colonel responded positively to the initiative.

Later, Ravi Naidu, along with Life Saving Sports Commission Chairman Pradeep Naidu, attended the All India Taekwondo Leaders Seminar organised by the Indian Taekwondo Association and the Korean Cultural Centre in Delhi. On this occasion, Ravi Naidu spoke about the new sports policy introduced by the AP government to promote sports and pledged to expand Taekwondo in the state. The Taekwondo Association and the Korean Cultural Centre also honoured Ravi Naidu for his efforts.
