Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has honoured the late music legend Tongai “Dhewa” Moyo in a grand fashion. Chivayo gifted Dhewa’s son, Peter Moyo, a sleek Mercedes-Benz C-Class worth US$25,000.
Chivayo, currently on vacation in Nairobi, Kenya, with his new partner Lucy Lulu Muteke, revealed the gesture on Facebook while reminiscing about Tongai Moyo’s hit song, Naye. The classic love ballad, which speaks about inseparable love, inspired the heartfelt move.

In his Facebook post, Chivayo wrote,
“Kana une wako NAYEEEE ne mumvura mese NAYEEEE kana ku Masowe NAYEEEEE kana mu Private Jet NAYEEEEE… Ndabva ndavafunga DHEWA, may his dear soul continue to rest in eternal peace TONGAI MOYO.”
He continued, announcing his gift to Peter Moyo:
“On a separate but friendly note, his son PETER can go and see Madzibaba Chipaga at his earliest convenience at ENTERPRISE CAR SALES and collect a C-Class Mercedes-Benz with a budget of not more than 25,000 USD.”
The post has since gone viral, attracting widespread praise and admiration for Chivayo’s gesture.
