Following the main event of Misfits Boxing’s Qatar ‘Super Card’, tensions were still high at the top of the promotion.
Misfits founder and fighter KSI appears to have fallen out with his former pal AnEsonGib, who was fighting in the main event. Throughout the build-up, he made his support for Gib’s opponent Slim Albaher crystal clear, and did the same throughout the fight itself on commentary.
Fans were very upset with the behavior on commentary, insisting that it took away hearing KSI’s farcical bias. But it seems to have been a creative choice, furthering a storyline about the two who have been close since starting their boxing journeys together over six years ago.

KSI rages at ringside as AnEsonGib defeats Slim Albaher
During some key bouts on Thursday night, KSI would take on the commentary desk to help build up Misfits Boxing’s bigger names. He giggled at ringside as his brother Deji landed a phantom KO over Dawood Savage,and appeared to be a welcome addition to the desk.
But during the main event, his seemingly random newfound hatred for AnEsonGib took over as he obsessively hated on his performance. Albaher started the better of the two, with KSI claiming he had won almost all of the early rounds.
Fellow commentators Ben Davis, Riley Osbourne and KSI’s Misfits co-founder Mams Taylor all attempted to call the action like a legitimate fight. But they were often drowned out by the reactions from their British counterpart.
Eventually, KSI had to accept defeat as his lopsided scorecards were rendered useless as Gib won a close Majority Decision. In the immediate aftermath, Taylor then named Gib as Fighter of the Night, which comes with an extra $20,000 bonus, much to his business partner’s annoyance.
KSI and AnEsonGib’s feud continues into post-fight press conference
Tensions seemed to be far from thawed after the fact, as KSI continued to badmouth Gib during the post-fight press conference. The pair clashed over a potential fight between the two, which the Misfits boss said could only happen if his rival defeated Salt Papi or Anthony Taylor.
“They said that this was called Misfits, but this was more like a mismatch,” Gib teased his rival with after arriving late to the post-fight media event. “I done smoked him, so there we go. We took their belt, this will be a nice door-stopper and we’re going to enjoy it.”
KSI was clearly irked as he was forced to say “Fair play, brother,” before taking issue at Gib referring to himself as “the best”. “I mean, you saw what Salt Papi did,” KSI teased, and asked how long he had to be up for.
When Ayman Khan from Seconds Out asked where Gib now ranks in the scene, KSI appeared even more irked, snapping back: “What do you want me to say? Number one? He’s number one.”
