Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing Alexander Isak from Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that La Liga club Atletico Madrid are also keen on a deal for Isak.
Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League and has been on the books of Newcastle since the summer of 2022. The 25-year-old has scored 12 goals and given four assists in 17 league matches and has found the back of the net once in three Carabao Cup games for the Magpies so far this season.
During the 2023-24 campaign, Isak, also linked with Paris Saint-Germain, scored 21 goals and gave two assists in 27 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League, while in the 2022-23 campaign, the striker scored 10 goals and provided one assist in 17 starts and five substitute appearances in the league. Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
