Isak Andic who was the founder of the European fashion company Mango and also a billionaire eventually passed away at the age of 71 following a tragic accident, reported Business Insider.

According to Business Insider, Mango CEO Toni Ruiz revealed that Isak Andic died when he suffered a fall into a ravine while he was hiking with his family in the caves of Salnitre which are located near Barcelona. Toni Ruiz with a very heavy heart and immense sadness also praised about Isak Andic by saying that his strategic vision and leadership he left an indelible mark on the company and thus embodied its core values.

Mango was founded by Isak Andic in Barcelona in the year 1984 and it was due to his guidance and immense efforts the brand went on to eventually expand to over 120 markets throughout the world while currently it boasts nearly 3,000 stores and has a very strong online presence as well, asserted Business Insider. At the time of his death, the estimated net worth of Isak Andic and his family was near about $4.5 billion stated Forbes.

Following the news of his sudden and tragic passing away, the website of Mango paid and featured an emotional tribute to Isak Andic while the flags at the company’s headquarters located in Barcelona were flown at half-mast, noted Business Insider. The Spanish Prime Minister named Pedro Sanchez also expressed his condolences, while recognizing the significant impact of Isak Andic on the fashion industry and his huge contributions to economy of Spain.
