Super Eagles talisman Victor Osimhen has praised countryman Tolu Arokodare for his impressive performance for KRC Genk this season, Soccernet.ng reports.

Arokodare scored twice in Genk’s 2-2 draw against Royale Antwerp, bringing his tally to 14 goals in 23 matches—just one shy of his total from last season, where he netted 15 goals in 52 games.

Osimhen, who has been closely following Arokodare’s progress in Belgium since the striker joined Genk as Paul Onuachu’s replacement, applauded the towering Nigerian for his remarkable resurgence.

“To see him making a huge name for himself and for his team is something amazing. Knowing how he started, I know he will surely achieve greatness!” Osimhen wrote in reaction to a post shared by Naija Footballers.

In response, the former FC Köln striker expressed his gratitude and revealed that Osimhen’s comments meant so much to him that he plans to frame them.

Arokodare replied: “I go frame this one put for house, nothing anybody wan tell me. Thanks, broski.”

The Nigerian forward has begun to attract attention across Europe, with Trabzonspor, Fulham, and Galatasaray reportedly interested in securing his services.

However, Genk chairman Peter Croonen has ruled out a January transfer, stating in an interview with DAZN, “The intention is absolutely to keep him. And that will happen.”

On the international stage, Arokodare is yet to earn a call-up to the Super Eagles. However, if he maintains his current form, he is likely to be one of the names considered for selection next year.
