Nick Viall reacted to Vicki Gunvalson shading his podcast in a bizarre hot-mic moment after her phone interview with him on The Viall Files. The Real Housewives of Orange County star also addressed her “mishap,” which was featured in the episode.

During the actual interview, Vicki declared that The Bachelor star owed her because she was busy that day with “400 meetings.” After the interview, Vicki forgot to end the call — and her private convo with boyfriend Michael Smith was blasted to Nick’s listeners.

In her talk with Michael, she dissed the podcast, claiming she only did it as a favor to the media company that produces her podcast. She also said she’d never heard of Nick before the interview and then mispronounced his name.

After the hot-mic moment, Vicki took to Instagram to address it.

“Very, very busy! I had to have a laugh after reading all your hysterical comments from my latest mishap on @viallfiles,” she wrote on December 4. “Thank you @nickviall and team for the warm welcome … [let’s] whoop it up in beautiful Puerto Vallarta soon!”

She also shared a video where she’s drinking an alcoholic beverage at the beach.

“When you’re very, very busy with 400 meetings and don’t have time for a podcast interview today,” she wrote over the video.

In the comments, Nick shared his reaction: “Never change Vikki.”

Vicki responded, “Never! ????”

Vicki started out the podcast telling Nick that he “owe[s]” her for the interview because she had “400 meetings” that day.

After the interview ended, Vicki forgot to end the call.

“That [interview] was a favor to Hurdat [Media],” said Vicki to her boyfriend Michael in the hot-mic moment, referring to the podcast network that produces her show, My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast. “[Nick]’s got seven million views. [I made him] a major appearance. I was a guest on his show. He’s got his own network, his own show, his own thing. I’ve never heard of him.”

She also mispronounced his surname, calling the podcaster “Nick Vialls.”

The latest season of The Real Housewives of Orange County recently concluded.
