Friday’s show is sold out but a limited number of tickets are still available for Saturday.

3. Christmas movie night

Regina’s adult dance centre is hosting a special holiday movie night on Friday evening at Collective Studios (1363 Rose Street).

The movie will be chosen through a public vote on Collective Studios’ social media — a choice between the 1950’s classic “White Christmas” and 2022’s “Spirited” featuring Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell.

“It’s the holiday season, and what better way to celebrate than with a cozy, festive movie night at the studio,” says a news release.

There will also be a Christmas sweater contest along with popcorn, candy and hot chocolate.

4. Hall of Fame fun

The Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame is hosting its final winter pop-up event of the year featuring indoor and outdoor activities on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. (please arrive 10 minutes early).

Guests can visit the hall of fame (2205 Victoria Avenue) for a tour of its galleries along with simulator games, adaptive curling ice and an interactive STEM gallery, which tests vertical and broad jumps, balance and grip strength.

That’s followed by supervised outdoor activities across the street in Victoria Park, so be sure to dress for the occasion.

Afterward, everyone is invited back inside to warm up with some hot chocolate and cookies.

The hall of fame is open until 4 p.m. that day.

5. Farmers’ market holiday series

The Regina Farmers’ Market (RFM) is getting into the Christmas spirit with a holiday series that concludes Saturday at Banner Hall in REAL District.

The indoor market is running extended holiday hours (9 a.m.-3 p.m.). There will be no farmers’ market on Dec. 28 and Jan. 4 before resuming Jan. 11.

In addition to 65-plus vendors offering a variety of Saskatchewan-produced items, the holiday market offers a kids’ club with free ornament-making and craft activities, live performances by local buskers, and a donation drive for the RFM’s new Nutrition Coupon Program. The latter is designed to combat food insecurity by increasing access to fresh, local produce.
