Chae Won Bin Dishes On Her “Who Is She!” Character, Chemistry With On-Screen Grandmother Kim Hae Sook, And More

KBS2’s upcoming drama “Who Is She!” has unveiled new stills featuring Chae Won Bin!

A remake of the famous film “Miss Granny,” which has spawned multiple remakes in other countries, “Who Is She!” is a music romance drama about Oh Mal Soon (Kim Hae Sook), a woman in her 70s who suddenly transforms into 20-year-old Oh Doo Ri (Jung Ji So), and gets a second chance at living out her dreams.

Chae Won Bin takes on the role of Choi Ha Na, a top student who gives up taking the college entrance exam to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. Instead of carrying a heavy bag full of exam books, she shows up at auditions with a guitar slung over her shoulder, resolute in her decision to focus solely on her future.

Chae Won Bin shared her reasons for choosing the drama, saying, “I thought it was a heartwarming project. I really liked the original film, and the fact that it was a music drama was fascinating.”

She described her character Ha Na as someone who is honest with her emotions and has no hesitation in expressing them. The actress commented, “She is bright, cheerful, adventurous, and hardworking. This is the first time I’ve portrayed such a character, which made it very appealing to me.”

Chae Won Bin also highlighted her special chemistry with Kim Hae Sook, who plays her grandmother in the drama. She shared, “I personally really like and respect Kim Hae Sook. There was a time when the director asked if we had practiced separately because we clicked well. At that moment, Kim Hae Sook replied that we naturally click well.”

Chae Won Bin added, “We had a lot of fun filming, and our chemistry was great. In addition, I also plan to showcase unique chemistry with Jung Ji So, who plays the younger version of the grandmother, so please show lots of anticipation.”

“Who Is She!” will premiere on December 18 at 9:50 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Face Me.”
