As part of ‘Utkarsh Odisha’, the state’s premier business summit, Chief Minister (CM) Mohan Majhi on Thursday met ambassadors of 34 different nations, dozens of envoys, and members of several industry associations in New Delhi.

Ambassadors, high commissioners, consul-generals, trade commissioners, and senior diplomats from across the globe attended the event.

CM Majhi presented Odisha’s dynamic industrial landscape and emerging investment opportunities to the global audience. He aims to foster partnerships and attract investments worth over Rs 5 lakh crore by showcasing the potential and opportunities available in Odisha.

The CM held a one-on-one meeting with delegations of industry bodies and associations. The meeting revolved around Odisha’s industrial potential, supportive policies, ease of doing business, and an investor-friendly environment.

Also accompanied by the CM were Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and many senior officials of the state government.

The CMO Odisha shared, “Investment will come, employment will increase. While Odisha is progressing in the field of industrial growth, Chief Minister Shri @MohanMOdisha said that the investment target of 5 lakh crores in 5 years ₹ has been set.”

This apart, the CM also personally invited global stakeholders to attend the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave-2025.

Business leaders and investors from various sectors have been invited to explore how Odisha can serve as a key destination for investments.

“Thank you very much. I’m very grateful to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of India, for inviting us to this interactive session that is coming up in the state of Odisha. I think this is very good for ambassadors to see how the future is coming and what kind of business is going all over India. So, I’m very thankful,” said Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Gaoud, ambassador-designate of Bahrain.

Similarly, Malaysia’s High Commissioner to India Muzaffar Shah Mustafa said, “I’m looking forward to all the opportunities and potential collaboration with the state of Odisha. It is a very good effort by the Odisha government to attract collaborations with international partners.”

“For Malaysia, we can look for the development of IT, IT services, education, tourism, and other sectors. But, we are open to more ideas and would like to hear it from the Chief Minister,” he added.
