Memphis’ and Houston’s finest have come together for a self-empowering and bossed up anthem for the ladies.

In a brand new music video for their collaborative single “Wanna Be,” GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion assert that they’re having it their way. The Soulja Boy-sampled track received visual direction from veteran creative Benny Boom, showing Meg and Glo at a party where they have the upper hand with men who “don’t want to be saved” or “kept.”

Soulja’s 2010 hit “Pretty Boy Swag” is infused all throughout the production, as Glo raps, “Tell these ho*s to stay dangerous ’cause nan one of they ni**as safe/ My nig**a say he faithful, I still got a few ho*s just in case,” where Meg comes in later with, “A P-I-M-P, I be ho*in’ these ni**as/ He run back to me ’cause you borin’ a ni**a/ These ni**as be crazy, I don’t blame ’em/ I’m a dog too, I don’t wanna change him.”

Both rapstresses carry the hook as Meg starts, “He don’t wanna be saved, don’t save him/ That is not my nigga, don’t claim him/ ‘Bout twenty missed calls, he faded/ White boy wasted, Channing Tatum,” before Glo comes in with, “He don’t wanna be kept, don’t keep him/ He don’t want the baby, then, bi**h, don’t keep it/ I don’t get left, I’m a leaver/ Hoes love me like Justin Bieber.”

The single hails from Glo’s 12-track mixtape Ehhthang Ehhthang, which has musical assistance from Moneybagg Yo, Boston Richey, Finesse 2x, and Kevo Muney.

Excitingly, the CMG artist and Grammy-winning rapper will be hitting the road together for their Hot Girl Summer tour, kicking off in May. The 31-city trek opens in Minneapolis on May 14 before concluding at the Broccoli City Fest in July.
