The SEC appears to have the most balance among its top four teams than any other power conference in men’s college basketball.

The Tennessee Volunteers, Auburn Tigers, Kentucky Wildcats and Alabama Crimson Tide all come into Nashville with odds less than +500 to win the event.

Tennessee was the best team in the conference for most of the season, but it fell on Saturday to Kentucky.

Kentucky has an incredible collection of talent that could take the program to its first SEC tournament title since 2018.

Alabama won two of the last three SEC tournaments and Auburn carries a higher KenPom ranking than any team in the SEC.

The SEC tournament winner will likely come from the top four seeds. We could see two incredible semifinals and an amazing championship game contested between those programs on Saturday and Sunday.

Each of the top four seeds in the SEC tournament possess qualities that convince you they can win not just in Nashville, but at the NCAA tournament as well.

Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht is one of the best pure scorers in the country and the Vols have a wealth of March experience surrounding him.

Kentucky lacks experience, but that did not matter in Knoxville on Saturday, when it beat Tennessee to extend its winning streak to five.

Alabama has one of the most electric offenses in the country and Nate Oats holds an edge over the other coaches with two SEC tournament wins in three years.

Auburn has the best defense of the group and that makes it worthy of the No. 2 favorite tag on the odds board behind Tennessee.

However, Auburn is 1-3 against the other top four seeds, and as good as its defense has been, it was not great against the Vols, Wildcats and Crimson Tide.

Tennessee scored 92 points on the Tigers on February 28, and if the Vols run rampant again, they will set up a potential rematch with Kentucky.

Kentucky and Alabama enter Nashville in different veins of form. The Wildcats won five straight, while the Crimson Tide lost three of their last four.

Kentucky looks to be in the better spot to challenge Tennessee in the title game, and if that is the case, Sunday’s final could be a race to 90 points between the Vols and Wildcats.

    Prediction: Tennessee over Kentucky
