The OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus is predicted to launch as a mid-range Android smartphone with high-end rear cameras, a switch to a new telephoto lens optimized for low-light photography included. It may also have a display of an increased resolution compared to its predecessor, as well as faster charging – with one potential drawback.

The OPPO Reno10 Pro Plus (or Pro+) is already backed to beat its upcoming counterpart from Honor in the mid-tier arena on its possible mid-2023 launch. Now, the eminent leaker Digital Chat Station is back on this topic with more details as to how this might be achieved.

The 9 Pro+ successor is now slated to launch with a 6.74-inch 1.5K display, which might be improved compared to the FHD+ panel of its predecessor – then again, there is no mention of OLED or a switch to a flat screen in the purported newer model as yet.

The 10 Pro+ might also charge faster thanks to upgraded 100W technology with the same 4,700mAh battery from 2022. It is also tipped to launch with what might be the same rear camera as the higher-end Find X6. This OIS-enhanced Sony IMX890 might be backed up by the Reno-series’ first periscope lens, which is allegedly suited to low light.

Both shooters (along with 1 more for a triple-camera set-up) might be controlled by OPPO’s MariSilicon X co-processor. That, of course, brings us to what might be the main Reno10 Pro+ drawback: it is still tipped to launch with the exact same main SoC as its predecessor all over again.

While the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 retains the ex-flagship power to take the mid-range market on, it might have many Reno9 Pro+ customers either reluctant to upgrade or regretting not holding out for its 10-series replacement.
