Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro tablets debut with appealing price tags and solid hardware

Launched today in China alongside devices like the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Xiaomi Band 8, the Xiaomi Pad 6 looks to build on the success of the Pad 5. The new tablet sports an 11-inch 2.8K 144 Hz LCD. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 870, perhaps long in the tooth at this point, but still a solid improvement on the Pad 5’s Snapdragon 860. The Qualcomm chipset is aided by up to 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, with Xiaomi claiming a steady 58.7 FPS on Genshin Impact. Unlike its cheaper sibling, the Pad 6 Pro can be equipped with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

Both tablets share identical hardware outside their SoCs, but the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro actually sports a smaller battery, at 8600 mAh. The vanilla Pad 6 is equipped with an 8840 mAh unit, comparatively. That said, though, the Pro model features 67 W wired charging which charges it up in 62 minutes, versus the standard Pad 6’s 33 W charging and 99-minute charge time.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 goes on sale today in China, while buyers of the Pad 6 Pro will be able to pre-order today with a full release scheduled for April 21. Pricing for the two tablets is as follows:
