It appears that Xiaomi is on the verge of launching the Smart Band 7 NFC in Europe. While the company has not commented on the fitness tracker’s whereabouts yet, authorised Polish retailers are already selling the device, confirming a modest price increase from the regular Smart Band 7.
Authorised Xiaomi resellers have now started selling the Smart Band 7 NFC in Poland, following its appearance on its global website. To recap, Xiaomi has not officially announced the Smart Band 7 NFC outside China yet, where it will soon unveil the Smart Band 8. However, its global website listing all but confirmed the company’s desire to do so.
While the Smart Band 7 NFC is functionally identical to the regular Smart Band 7 model save for an NFC module, Xiaomi elected against releasing the pair simultaneously. Instead, the non-NFC model launched globally in June. Xiaomi appears to have waited for Mastercard and VISA compatibility though; the Smart Band 6 NFC lacked VISA integration.
Currently, Xiaomi’s resellers have priced the Smart Band 7 NFC at PLN 299, equivalent to ~€64 at current exchange rates. For context, Xiaomi launched the regular Smart Band 7 for PLN 249 (~€54), PLN 50 (~€10) less than the NFC edition. Hence, it seems likely that Xiaomi will price the Smart Band 7 NFC at €69.99. A European-wide release date remains unknown for the time being, although the fitness tracker is available to order in Poland at the time of writing.
